Supreme Court had petitioned that the candidates

Some candidates in the Supreme Court had petitioned that the candidates for whom the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020 was the final attendant, be given another chance. It was argued that due to corona infection many candidates were not able to prepare for the examination properly. In such a situation, the candidates for whom the last appearance was in 2020, they should be given one more chance to appear in the examination.

Center agreed to give the government one more chance

Following this petition, the Center agreed to give the government one more chance to the candidates with last attachment. But those whose age limit was over in 2020 were not persuaded to give them a waiver. Now the Supreme Court has refused to give a second chance to all the candidates who have passed the last attachment and the age limit. While delivering the verdict, the court said only one word – Dismissed.

The Supreme Court had asked the Center to consider giving relaxation in the age limit even once. But the central government was not in this favor. The government had said in the court that even if the age limit is relaxed, only 2,236 candidates will be extra.

Examination was delayed due to corona infection.
